Lamellae

What is it? (a) the sheet-like membrane that occurs within the chloroplast, each of which consists of a pair of membranes with a narrow space between. (b) the gills of a basidiomycete fungus that radiate out from the stalk beneath the cap of the fruit and bear the spores.
